The provide unforgettable small group active vacations. The largest groups are limited to no more than 12 people, and some trips are limited to only 7 travelers. They boast some of the best guide to customer ratios, (biking trips have no more than 5 customers per guide, leisure trips have no more than 7 customers per guide, and hiking trips have no more than 11 customers per guide). They offer activity specific trips (such as hiking in Iceland or Switzerland and biking in Germany or Italy), as well as “Leisure Trips” which are less strenuous and offer a variety of activities that customers can opt to do such as hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, boating, etc.

Who Travels With Them?

People who have always wanted (or even recently decided they wanted) to go on a hiking or biking trip, but did not think that it was possible. They love introducing people to these types of active vacations. Trips are beginner friendly, most customers on the hiking trips are under 35, customers for the biking trips are usually 25-55 (with some older and younger people as well). Trips are priced for budget-conscious customers who want to have an unforgettable vacation at an affordable price, without sacrificing quality.

Where Do They Operate?

Currently trips are only offered in Europe (Iceland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Croatia & Montenegro), with heavy emphasis on Iceland. A variety of trip styles, from hiking tours to self drive trips, are available. Each trip leader is either from the country that the trip is to, or has extensive knowledge and experience in that country.

How Does it Work?

Accommodations are often times one of the highlights of their tours. You’ll stay at unique properties that really add to the trip and help you to get a real feel for the country. Examples include staying at a luxurious castle hotel in Germany, a winery in Italy, a farmhouse in Iceland, and Alpine chalets in Switzerland. Chain hotels are avoided in favor of properties that give a more authentic feel for the locations that we visit.

Their itineraries provide an excellent balance of time spent together as a group and free time to engage in activities that pertain to individual interests (for which they always provide suggestions!). Transport is mostly in private vans, with a few exceptions such as their Iceland Hiking trip which uses a bus to transfer between Reykjavik and the hiking location.
